Welcome!

Welcome to the website of the Baroque Music Festival, Corona del Mar, California. Founded in 1981, the yearly Festival presents five concerts over eight days in June.

We strive for historically stylistic interpretations of the great masterpieces of the Baroque period — and a few later neo-Baroque works — and are blessed with the talents of singers and instrumentalists who are informed and sensitive to that style, the latter playing instruments that are either period antiques or modern reproductions. Thus you will hear music by Baroque composers much as it was heard in their own time.

When you come to the Festival, please enjoy our lovely venues and linger after the concerts to meet our performers and to socialize with each other over wines and waters.

Printed programs are provided at all concerts. You are encouraged to keep these programs, to read the notes, and to appreciate the advertisers who have supported us by thanking them for their generosity when you patronize their establishments. To them, to you, to all of our contributors listed in the program, and to the Arts Commission of the City of Newport Beach we express our gratitude for continuing support of the artistic life of this community.
